Attività:
  • Conduct substantive research on child and youth rights issues and draft different types of documents, including talking points and reports.
  • Support the development of key messages on child and youth rights issues related to the work of the Team.
  • Support the organization of events and other activities organized by the team, including assisting with notetaking.
  • Contribute to improving human rights outreach, including through the development of child-friendly communication materialss, as well as with web and content management.
  • Other activities as required by the Team.
Requisiti principali:
  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
    • (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme in Law, International relations, Political Science, Development or related subject (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
    • (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme in Law, International relations, Political Science, Development or related subject (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
  • Knowledge in the field of human rights and/or child and youth rights is desirable.
  • Applicants should have a good capacity to collect, synthesize and analyze information from various sources and to draft documents in a clear and concise manner.
  • Applicants are required to have excellent organizational and coordination skills to manage a heavy workload and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish, is an advantage.
