The photonic sensing systems team works on topics related to photonic integrated circuits and material sensing at the ZEISS Innovation Hub @ KIT.  We explore new technologies and application fields. Send us your application if you are interested in spending a full-time internship exploring new photonic technologies, or expanding the reach of technologies into new applications.

Your role

• Be involved with ongoing project or study, receiving direct supervision from one of our researchers
• Gain transferable technical and soft skills
• Be challenged to creatively engage with shaping your project
• Experience the confluence of science and business.

• You are enrolled in a Master’s program in Physics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or comparable subject and have excellent results (please include transcripts with application material)
• Knowledge in the field of lasers, communications, spectroscopy, or other optical measurement systems is a plus
• Excellent organization, problem-solving, communication (English and/or German) and innovation skills
• Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for new technologies as well as motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary team.
