Attività:
  • Support country outbreak response documentation by drafting briefings and taking notes during teleconferences.
  • Manage operational information for outbreaks and vaccination in humanitarian settings.
  • Support country outbreak responses by gathering information, managing information flows, and conducting initial document analysis, which will serve as a background for strategic and operational work.
  • Monitor the implementation of emergency management and response by systematically collecting performance standards and key performance indicators for vaccination.
  • Disseminate information by preparing presentations, delivering them under supervision, and supporting training preparation and delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation of outbreak response training.
  • Be closely engaged in the preparation of key meetings organized by the IVB Teams.
  • Undertake web research and data collection on specific subject areas, including WHO EMS.
  • Participate in the development of tools and guidelines.
  • Review literature and conduct literature surveys. 
  • Undertake web research and data collection on specific subject area.
  • Organize data and documents.
  • Assist in drafting, formatting and editing policy briefs, tool kits, guides/manuals, hand-outs, brochures and reports. 
  • Assist in organizing workshops, meetings, conferences, events.
  • Participate in on-going departmental projects.
Requisiti principali:
  • Have completed the equivalent of three years of full-time studies in nursing at a university or equivalent institution prior to commencing the assignment; AND be enrolled in a course of study at a university or equivalent institution leading to a formal qualification in public health or global health (applicants who have already graduated may also qualify for consideration provided that they apply to the internship within six months after completion of their formal qualification).
  • In addition to the required nursing studies and experience and enrollment in or recent graduation from a master's programme in public or global health or equivalent, other valued areas of education include: programme management, social sciences, political science or sciences of the earth.
  • Experience in research and/or drafting reports
  • Communicating effectively orally and in writing
  • Showing willingness to learn from mistakes
  • Producing and delivering quality results
  • Working collaboratively with team members
  • Expert knowledge of English. Intermediate knowledge of French.
