Attività:
Under the direct supervision of the Team Lead and the general guidance of the Manager of the Subdivision, the intern will perform a range of activities related to our communication and capacity building activities on Article 6 of Paris Agreement and Carbon pricing instruments, including but not limited to:
- Contributing to the design, development, and attractive e-presentation of high-quality, userfriendly digital information- and training products (e.g. guidebooks/manuals, infographics, elibraries, publications, podcasts, videos, online courses, -modules, and –trainings). Suggesting suitable channels for reaching broad and diverse audiences.
- Co-creating timely, impactful communication products, incl. newsletters, articles, launches, blogs, web-and social media content. Keeping the website content targeted and up to date. Pro-actively suggesting concepts for tailored, well-structured, and innovative communications- and capacity building products, services, - and events that are aligned with the mandate of the Article 6 Capacity Building Unit.
- Undertaking research, analysis, consolidation, and presentation of data on Article 6 participation and -implementation. Tracking relevant capacity building products, and -events of partners as well as of capacity building needs, best practices, and lessons learnt of key stakeholders and target groups.
- Supporting event- and project management, incl. related to planning, content design, communication, organization, facilitation, documentation, and follow up of virtual- and in person events in the context of capacity building on Article 6.
- Engaging in collaboration with various UNFCCC Units and- Regional Collaboration Centres, and with external partners, to enhance alignment and synergies of communications- and knowledge management efforts. Identifying cooperation areas, facilitating planning and internal communications, and tracking follow-up.
- Assisting in other activities related to Capacity Building and Article 6 as required.
Requisiti principali: - Candidates must be enrolled in the last year of an undergraduate or in a Graduate or Master's programme at a recognized university in fields such as Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Creative Communications, Communications studies, or a related discipline at the time of application and for the duration of the internship. Other fields of study will be considered, provided that candidates have prior demonstrable expertise and interest in digital communications.
- Candidates must be fluent in English (both oral and written). Knowledge of additional UN languages is an asset.
- Demonstrated excellent written and communication skills.
- Candidates must be able to work in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
Desirable:
- Affinity, enthusiasm and familiarity for/with digital technology, incl. developing web-content and technological solutions for capacity building, training, and knowledge management are desired.
- Initial experience, skills, and passion for communications and outreach, including drafting news feed, newsletters, blogs, and articles as well as developing digital knowledge- and communications materials and -tools are desired.
