The purpose of this internship is to support activities in the area of fusion science and plasma physics by contributing to the organization of the technical meetings, workshops and other technical events, as well as assisting in preparation of relevant proceedings-publications and in development of outreach materials.

Functions:

• Assist in the preparation and implementation of scientific and technical events on topics related to fusion research and plasma physics.
• Support the preparation of technical reports as a result of Technical Meetings and Workshops in the area of fusion science and plasma physics.
• Support the updates and management of the Fusion Portal for the dissemination of the information related to the IAEA's activities in fusion research and development, including creating and developing new content.

• University degree in Nuclear Physics, Plasma Physics, Nuclear Fusion or related fields.
• Demonstrated interest in fusion research.
• Experience in organizing scientific events.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Skills in creating, managing and developing small projects.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of fusion research and of the major ongoing national and international activities in the field.
• Ability to comprehend technical content and develop a technical document.
• IT skills in HTML or SharePoint or Tableau is an asset.

Applicant Eligibility

• Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years of age and have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree.
• Candidates may apply up to one year after the completion of a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree.
• Good written and spoken English essential; fluency in any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish or Russian) an asset.
