• Support the development and publishing of communications material through our various channels (website, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter);
• Collect, write and edit content received from Departments and Regional Offices communication focal points;
• Draft and consolidate documents, prepare Powerpoint presentations;
• Maintain databases of partners and help setting up workshops and drafting messages;
• Assist in the organization of conferences, webinars, or other collaborative events;
• Feed and manage SCO calendar of events, schedule content and keep the team aware of significant forthcoming events;
• Assist in creating performance reports of the social media and web publications;
• Assist the team in any other activity or project managed by SCO, including events, specific campaigns, etc.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, journalism, international relations, or social science related fields;
• Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in the internship programme;
• Strong organizational and research skills;
• Excellent analytical, communication and writing skills;
• Experience in writing and editing reports, articles, or other texts (in English) is required;
• Strong social media skills, specifically with Instagram, TikTok and other micro-storytelling platforms;
• Knowledge of web publication tools, video and photo editing tools is an advantage;
• Computer proficiency in standard software applications (MS Office, Excel, Word, Powerpoint);
• Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic, French, Spanish, and/or other United Nations official languages would also be an advantage.
