Support the Legal and Policy Department on several legal files with a particular focus on media/communications law and human rights and other related legal areas relevant to the media sector. A core focus will be to perform legal research and case law analysis to keep up to date the know-how of the Legal and Policy Department.

• Provides legal support to Members and other EBU departments.
• Monitors and analyses relevant case law, policy and market developments.
• Assists in building a case-law database.
• Analyses and prepares working documents draft on related subject.
• Liaises with external advisers as appropriate.
• Contributes to EBU professional newsletters on specific topics.
• Works in other legal areas as necessary to provide assistance or support.

Geneva, Brussels, Madrid or Rome

• In the process of completing a Bachelor, a Master law or a PhD.
• An internship agreement is required.
• Keen interest in media law related matters.
• Practical and solutions-orientated.
• Flexibility to work in parallel on a variety of complex issues.
• Excellent academic record.
• Team player and diplomatic approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills – English and/or French.
• Critical judgement to ensure confidential treatment of information when needed.
