Attività:
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of the Office of the Director, and the overall supervision of the Director, the intern will perform the following functions:
- Assist in the organization of the 2025 World Investment Forum (WIF), The 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD) and other upcoming meetings conferences and workshops, through the preparation of pre- and post-meeting documentation; liaising with participants, consolidate and update databases of stakeholders, scheduling and other duties as required.
- Assists in background research for the drafting of speaking notes, speeches, articles, formal correspondence and other materials on various issues related to investment for development, sustainable finance and the development of the private sector.
- Maintain databases, develop and manage user surveys and other performance-management tools.
- Assist in preparing first drafts of analytical studies on investment and enterprise for development issues and policies.
- Contribute to the monitoring, backstopping and assessing the implementation of programmes and projects, including in the area of investment for development, sustainable finance and the development of the private sector, and investment and gender.
- Other duties as required.
Requisiti principali: - Applicants to the programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:
- (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
- (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- For this internship, studies in the area of Social and Economic Affairs, or related area, is desirable.
- Should be computer literate in standard software applications;
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset. In addition to English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic and Russian are official languages of the United Nations.
