This internship is located in the IGF (Internet Governance Forum) Secretariat, based at the United Nations Office in Geneva (UNOG). The intern will support the team in technical and program facilitation and assist with the further development of the annual IGF meeting and IGF intersessional activities, including capacity development. The intern's tasks will include:

• Providing support to the IGF’s program platforms, such as the interactive scheduling system, bilateral room reservation system, and remote participation setup.
• Supporting technical and substantive actions related to the IGF website functions and design.
• Assisting with the functionality of the IGF web application.
• Supporting the implementation of the social media campaign.
• Assisting in the delivery of training for remote participation support staff.
• Compiling annual participation statistics and media analysis.
• Creating, implementing, and analyzing surveys and polls in support of intersessional work and national and regional IGF initiatives.
• Supporting interface design or layout of final IGF output documents.
• Assisting with other program components related to intersessional work and the annual meeting.

• Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
  • (a) Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
  • (b) Be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
