The UNODC Civil Society Unit (CSU) manages the Civil Society Global Programme (GLOU68). Within the framework of GLOU68, CSU facilitates the dialogue between civil society, Member States, and the private sector in the fight against corruption, on drug issues and other crimes. Through the GLOU68 programme, CSU works to facilitate meaningful participation of relevant stakeholders in UNODC activities.

The intern shall undertake the following duties which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the implementation of Programme GLOU68 “Engagement with Non-Governmental Stakeholders on Anti-Corruption, Drugs and Crime Prevention”, by participating in the various aspects of the projects’ cycles, including drafting concept notes, funding proposals, implementation and reporting;
  • Attend and take notes at events/meetings/conferences;
  • Assist in the preparation of the CSU activities and events;
  • Conduct research;
  • Perform other tasks as necessary.
Requisiti principali:
  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
    • (a) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
    • (b) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Be computer literate in standard software applications;
  • Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Please explain how do you meet this criterion using examples.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, knowledge of French and/or Spanish is desirable.
