As a part of the internship application, you will select one of our Play Discovery capability teams to join: 

• Play Ideation: This team works to support others in creating and curating ideas and concepts. They turn ‘what if?’ into ‘what’s next?’ by bringing frameworks, tools and unique approaches and perspectives to spark others to reach their full potential when ideating. 
• Story Innovation: This team leverages the power of storytelling to help craft new worlds, characters and playable logic around our newest innovations. They develop the narrative and world building that new ideas will sit within to package up our latest innovations into story driven experiences. 

Responsibilities: 

Your day to day work will depend a lot on which specific Play Discovery capability team you join.  Some of your typical responsibilities could include... 

• Push the boundaries of play by imagining new universes, creating compelling characters and constructing new prototypes to bring concepts to life 
• Research innovative technologies, materials and toys to discover new possibilities within physical and digital play 
• Communicate ideas through a range of media e.g. sketches, models, digital mockups etc. 
• Explore new play opportunities by testing physical / digital prototypes to gather feedback and iterate on ideas 
• Collaborate with a team of experienced designers, story tellers, ideators, artists and researchers to drive our innovation missions forward 
• Help craft presentations, visualizations and prototypes  
• Support the teams to structure and categorise their databases of ideas. 

• Currently enrolled in full time education in a relevant discipline 
• Free for the entire internship period starting September 1st 2025 
• Ability to move to Billund, Denmark for the duration of the Internship 
• Speak English to at least a conversational / intermediate level 
• You are ideas led, and love nothing more than to come up with original concepts
• Experience with at least some of the following: 
  • Concept art & Design sensibilities 
  • 3D visualization software (C4D, Blender) 
  • Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Game Engines and VR (Unreal/ Unity) 
  • LEGO model building 
  • Creative AI applications 
  • Film-making / animation 
  • Presentation software (Keynote etc) 
  • Storytelling.
