Attività:
Diagnostics are foundational to the decision-making process that guides a person’s health, wellness, and disease journey. Roche Diagnostic Solutions leads the global market of in-vitro diagnostics, a leadership rooted in innovation, quality, and a deep understanding of patients' needs.
As our research and development teams discover new technologies and design new products to provide unmatched value to our patients and customers, their choices play a crucial role in defining the environmental profiles of our products.
We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint by half by 2029. To achieve this goal, we are incorporating sustainability as a guiding principle in our problem-solving strategy.
As an intern in the Innovation Management team at Roche’s Research and Early Development, you will witness early-stage innovation and support the development of practices that can steer our strategy towards a more sustainable future.
To that end, you will:
- Analyze the sustainability value propositions and hypothesis of three early research projects.
- Evaluate internal tools for the assessment and quantification of environmental impacts and their relevance to early research projects.
- Work closely with research scientists to identify and size early signals of confirmation of the hypothesized sustainability impacts of their projects.
- Propose a framework to quantify the potential sustainability impact in early research projects that can be verified early in the research execution process.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, ensuring that sustainability metrics can be clearly articulated.
- Introduce the outcomes of your project to relevant stakeholders in the research organization.
Requisiti principali:
You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of environmental studies / sustainable engineering or equivalent, or natural science with a focus on sustainability within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the diagnostics industry.
Furthermore you are
- Familiar with life cycle assessment principles (required)
- Fluent in English (required)
- Familiar with ecodesign principles for sustainable products (preferred)
- Able to comprehend and communicate new and complex topics in the field of sciences and engineering
- Adroit at making inferences and establishing relationships between seemingly unrelated topics.
If you meet most but not all qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.
