Attività:

 

This internship project will focus on supporting the implementation of the Travel Risk Management Process leaded by the Security Intelligence and Travel Security Office within Security and Services Team. The intern will assist the team by:

  • Creating a list of accommodations in non-EU countries visited by Europol staff;
  • Gathering feedback from staff members regarding security challenges faced and/or observed during last trips;
  • Contributing to the travel risk management process;
  • Contributing to updating security briefings;
  • Monitoring and identifying relevant topics on social media;
  • Providing assistance in processing and assessing frantic communication to identify threats towards the organisation;
  • Any other related activities under the supervision of the internship supervisor.
Requisiti principali:

 

Experience (in academic or professional setting):

  • Experience in identifying best practices in assessing risks and key threats in various areas, countries and/or regions;
  • Experience in research and analysis of information in the security field from a range of sources, including via study/research assignments;
  • Experience in drafting processes, reports or similar structured documentation.

Subject knowledge/education:

  • Completed university studies or vocational training in the field of Security Management, Safety, Security & Risk Management, Crisis & Security Management, Political and/or Social science or any other relevant field for the internship project;
  • Knowledge in the field of security risk management;
  • Knowledge and interest in current affairs as events of political or social interest and importance happening in the world at the present time, geopolitics, etc.

General competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing;
  • Very good analytical skills;
  • Proficient user of IT applications in general and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the internet;
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team, as well as independently;
  • Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.
