The position is located the Debt and Financial Analysis Unit (DFAU) of the Debt and Development Finance Branch (DDFB) in the Division on Globalization and Development Strategies (DGDS). She/He will support the DFAU work with the following tasks: 

• Document and Internet research
• Assist in compiling statistics
• Assist in updating existing databases and creating new databases
• Assist in preparing power-point presentations
• Assistance in convening virtual meetings
• Assistance for events organized by the Unit, such as Intergovernmental Group of Experts
• Assistance in the preparation for the Forth Financing for Development Conference (FfD4) and UNCTAD16.

• Applicants to the programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:
  • (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
  • (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
• Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
• Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Teams.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish one of the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat is an advantage.
