Attività:
  • Conduct research on matters related to major civil society engagements by the Office and on matters relevant to the Office’s complementarity activities;
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of meetings and events;
  • Participate team members in relevant internal and external meetings, such as those with CSOs and key subject-matter organisations
  • Assist during the preparation and organisation of major thematic engagements with CSOs, including by taking minutes and preparing summaries of OTP-CSO Structured Dialogue sessions and thematic roundtables;
  • Assist in drafting of reports, papers, and other written documentation and information products;
  • Work on the External Affairs Unit Sharepoint page, updating, compiling and uploading relevant documents as required to ensure continuity of record-keeping.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
Requisiti principali:
  • All Candidates must have a degree or be in the final stages of their studies in Law, International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration or a related field from a recognised university. Candidates are expected to have a very good record of academic performance. A completed Master’s degree in Public International Law, International Criminal Law, International Relations, Political Science or a related field will be considered an asset.
  • Internship placements focus on candidates in the early stages of their professional careers therefore; practical experience is not an essential prerequisite for selection. However, practical experience that is relevant to the work of the Court may be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in English is required for this position. Working knowledge of French or Spanish is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong drafting skills and ability to perform research from open sources to produce quality analytical summaries and commentary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and engage with individuals from various units and offices.
  • Able to adapt to multicultural and multilingual working environments.
  • Possesses knowledge of the mandate of the ICC and its priorities, particularly in relation to the Office of the Prosecutor’s engagement with civil society, complementarity programmes and multilateral engagement.
  • Ability to deliver within set deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment.
  • Good standard of computer skills (including Microsoft Office applications).
