Attività:
  • Review and update Finance Watch’s media and journalist database, identifying and organising accurate contact details.
  • Conduct research to identify key journalists and media contacts at EU level and in selected member states.
  • Support monitoring of media coverage and relevant legislative developments at the EU level.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of online and in-person events, particularly a forum bringing together civil society organisations, academics and other policy allies together on to discuss deregulation in finance on 4 December.
  • Help manage mailing lists (including CRM and Excel files) and contribute to communications outputs (graphics, videos, and copy for social media posts) linked to the production of the forum.
  • Support the day-to-day tasks of the Communications and Networks teams.
Requisiti principali:
  • Motivated by Finance Watch’s mission and values.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Relevant qualification or experience in a communications environment.
  • Good writing skills, with an eye for adapting messaging to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work autonomously under clear objectives.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent spoken and written English (C2 level).
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, social sciences, or another relevant field.

Desirable

  • Interest in EU policy and civil society advocacy.
  • Previous involvement in organising events (such as student associations and campaigns).
  • Previous experience in a communications, media or data support role.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design, using tools such as Canva and Photoshop.
  • Basic short-form video production and editing skills, using tools such as CapCut.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring, WordPress, Hubspot or CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of another EU language (especially German and French).
