Join our Mass spectrometry team as an Analytical Chemistry Intern for a 6 to 9-month period, where you will play a role in supporting internal customers with cutting-edge analytical instrumentation. Your primary responsibilities will include measuring and analysing metabolite samples from the In Vitro Molecular Screening (IMS) group using UPLC-HRMS. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the safety of our fragrance molecules.

You will be part of a diverse team and located in Givaudan’s state-of-the-art Innovation Center in Kemptthal (Zurich). You will report directly to an experienced chemist, gaining valuable insights and mentorship throughout your internship.

 

You will:

  • Measure experiments conducted by IMS, analyse the data and report the results
  • Keep track of progress and deadlines
  • Discuss and or explain results within the team and to internal customers
  • Run optimization experiments to increase method performance
  • Learn to work with the laboratory information management system
  • Grow your experience in the field of fragrance research.
Requisiti principali:
  • Recently completed your master’s degree with practical experiences in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
  • Experience with Thermo software, e.g. Xcalibur, Compound Discoverer or Freestyle is a plus
  • A strong interest in working with state-of-the-art instrumentation to deliver high-quality results with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively share and discuss findings
  • Proficiency in English is required; fluency in German is a plus
  • A passion for contributing to the team’s success in a constructive, creative, and enthusiastic manner.
