Attività: - Assist in the reception, registration, processing and archiving of communications received by the Office of the Prosecutor under article 14 and article 15 of the Rome Statute, as well as referrals of situations from State Parties, or from the United Nations Security Council.
- Conduct an initial review of communications and referrals under article 14 and15 of the Rome Statute.
- Provide assistance to the OTP Unified teams and the Preliminary Examination Unit with training and coordination to ensure the review of all incoming information, potential evidence, and evidence material under article 14 and article 15 of the Rome Statute,Perform specific tasks and assist in research as required by the Head of the Unit.
- Assist in conducting technical (IT) legal research related to international criminal law and discovery practices and drafting legal documents, including memos, briefs, and reports, to support ongoing investigations and prosecutions.
Requisiti principali: - All Candidates must have a degree or be in the final stages of their studies at a recognised university. Candidates are expected to have a very good record of academic performance.
- Internship placements focus on candidates in the early stages of their professional careers therefore; practical experience is not an essential prerequisite for selection. However, practical experience that is relevant to the work of the Court may be considered an asset. Applicants must have less than three years of relevant full-time professional experience to be considered for an internship.
- Able to adapt to multicultural and multilingual working environments.
- Possesses strong teamwork skills (listens, consults and communicates proactively).
- Has acquired a good standard of computer skills (including Microsoft Office applications).
- Prior experience with eDiscovery in software development is advantageous.
- Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, French or English, is required. Working knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) or of German is an asset. Applicants with a working knowledge of Ukrainian, Russian or Arabic are strongly encouraged to apply.
