• Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on time sensitive open-source information, including allegations of chemical weapons use, security threats to deployed OPCW missions, and developments in conflict areas of interest.
• Conducting open-source research and contributing to the preparation of various sections of Information
• Cell's routine reports (weekly + monthly), as well as ad hoc analytical products.
• Drafting a working paper on the CW capabilities of a state not party to the CWC.
• Monitoring open sources concerning fires, explosions and major accidents at industrial chemical facilities worldwide and drafting brief notes related on the subject.

• Enrolled in and have completed at least one year of a degree programme in a university (or equivalent tertiary institution) or;
• in a graduate school programme (second university degree or higher) or;
• have graduated from a university or a graduate school within a year prior to the commencement of the internship.
• Be a citizen of an OPCW Member State and fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team, strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Office, MS Teams and SharePoint;
• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse complex information, identify emerging trends, and extract insights that align with and support the OPCW's strategic objectives and operational priorities;
• Fluency in English is essential and a good working knowledge of one of the other official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is desirable.

Desirable:

• A university degree in international relations, security studies, or a closely related field is preferred
