Attività:

 

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of the Branch, duties may include but are not limited to:   Support the work of the Special Initiatives and Advocacy Unit of UNCTAD’s Trade and Environment Branch. More specifically:    

  • Assist in preparing inputs for the design and implementation of special initiatives and programmes advocating for sustainable economies and societies.
  • Help with the organization of an exhibition and dialogue with local entrepreneurs, showcasing innovations in the circular economy domain.
  • Help develop communications tools such as social media cards, mass mailings; help edit the web pages of the branch.
  • Support the practical organization of briefings to missions and meetings associated with the special initiatives.
  • Prepares briefing notes and inputs to speeches, PowerPoint presentations, flyers, and other communication material on trade, climate change, and sustainable development.

Meeting support:     

  • Support the preparation of concept notes for UNCTAD events and briefings.
  • Assists in the organization and servicing of online meetings, identify speakers, seminars, panels, etc. 
Requisiti principali:
  • Applicants to the programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:
    • (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
    • (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
  • No working experience is required for this internship. However, for this position the University degree must be in the area of communications, journalism, economics, development, law, political science or other social sciences deemed appropriate.
  • Should be computer literate in standard software applications;
  • Fluency oral and written in English is required for the internship. Knowledge of another UN language is desirable
