This internship project focuses on enhancing the consistency and coherence of Strategic Analysis reports and products, including the proofreading of English language content prepared by the analysts in their assigned crime area portfolio’s. The intern will support the team by:

• Proofreading and editing strategic analysis reports and other products prepared by the team;
• Ensuring consistency and coherence in content across various products;
• Keeping drafting guidelines updated and communicating requirements internally;
• Maintaining and updating the webpage of the team on intranet;
• Other related tasks identified by the supervisor.

Experience (in academic or professional settings):

• Experience in developing and adapting English language content;
• Experience in proofreading English-language content;
• Experience in copy-writing and storytelling.

Subject knowledge/ education:

• Completed university studies or vocational training in the field of communications, English language, journalism, or similar studies;
• Knowledge of editorial and content production best practices;
• Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills in English;
• Familiarity with the EU’s Interinstitutional Style Guide preferred.

General competencies:

• Excellent communication skills in English;
• Proficient user of IT applications in general and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the internet;
• Attention to detail;
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team as well as independently;
• Ability to work in an international or multi-cultural environment.
