Introduction in purchasing: lead strategic industry benchmark and/or negotiation

  • Consisting of; raw material and vendor analysis/benchmark, analysis of pricing models with various global, regional and local suppliers, negotiation strategy and implementation
  • Ensure productivity savings, vendor relationship management, supply continuity and where possible set up contractual frameworks

Support Global Packaging Team’s Global Category Leads (“GCL”) in following activities:

  • Value Engineering – support implementation of global value engineering projects. Demonstrate leadership, stakeholder engagement, learn how to deliver a whole project on time and accurately
  • Project management – working with GCLs in order to identify opportunities and drive them through different project stages (i.e. industry analysis, NDA, tender, negotiation, supplier meetings, cross-functional meetings) until successful completion of such project
  • Day to Day portfolio management – supporting GCLs on day to day portfolio management with activities (e.g. supplier queries, management and financial reporting)
  • Tenders & e-sourcing – working closely with GCLs in order to launch RFI, RFP, RFQ & e-auctions
  • Data Management – purchasing data management (e.g. contracts, pricing, and raw material evolution) which will require global cross-function alignment
Requisiti principali:
  • Applicant must be in the final stage (3rd/4th year of study) of a Bachelors or Masters study in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain or Finance
  • Strong analytical capability and advanced MS Excel knowledge, ideally with financial modelling experience
  • Strong critical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter, able to accomplish tasks on own initiative
  • A commercial mind-set
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written business English 
  • Good / Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Procurement/Purchasing is desired, but not essential
