Biophysics and Formulation is a part of Global Research Technologies in R&D Novo Nordisk. Our department is responsible for biophysical characterization and early formulation development of new peptide and protein molecules, primarily to contribute to selection of the best molecules to take into clinical development as potential new drugs. The department operates a large and diverse set of instruments, including HPLC/UPLC, dynamic light scattering, thermal denaturation, fluorescence spectroscopy, imaging etc.
As an Intern you will work in close cooperation with scientists and technicians daily, but with a high degree of independence. Your task will involve development of an in-vitro model to simulate injection to human subcutaneous tissue. The project builds on a large body of experience at Novo Nordisk. Literature search, practical work in the lab as well as data analysis and presentation will be central elements of your daily work.
We are looking for an Intern who is currently studying on a master’s degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Physics, Protein Chemistry or a closely related field. The optimal candidate finds interest in the field between in-vivo biology/physiology on one side and biophysical properties of protein and peptides on the other. A systematic approach to literature search, practical work in the laboratory as well as data managing is highly preferred. Knowledge of image analysis and high-through-put assays are assets.
