Attività:
  • Researching, compiling and reviewing relevant data for briefs and presentations for the Executive Director
  • Reviewing concept notes and project documents/revisions
  • Preparing briefing material for the Executive Director’s engagements, including bilateral meetings and missions
  • Reviewing divisional submissions to the Executive Director including quarterly activity reports
  • Researching and compiling data and information for use in speeches and strategic communications products and documents
  • Contributing to the drafting of communication products for the DG/ED with a focus on strategic audience engagement
  • Assisting with strategic planning and organization of photo and video services for the DG/ED to support key communication products
  • Assisting with organizing and archiving the DG/ED’s multimedia products (photos, videos, etc.)
  • Perform other tasks as necessary.
Requisiti principali:
  • Applicants must be enrolled in or have recently graduated from a degree programme in political science, international relations, journalism, communications or other related field is required.
  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
    • (a) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
    • (b) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting policy research and analysis is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills are desirable.
  • Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams is desirable.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
