There are currently two (2) internship slots available – one slot in the Financial Administration team and another one in the IM Strategy, Planning & Business Product Management team.
Based on the profile of the successful candidates, the intern will be allocated to one of the teams listed below:
Financial Administration Team, Finance Unit
This internship project focuses on supporting the management in the transition from the current financial system (ABAC) to a new financial system (SUMMA) and its integration with documents management systems.
Information Management (IM) Strategy, Planning & Business Product Management Team, IM Unit
The internship project will be focussed on providing support to the Corporate Quality & Process Management Function (QPM) in further improving and optimising the existing Business Process Management & Analysis solution. This solution serves as the corporate process repository accessible to all staff.
- Completed university studies or vocational training in the field of Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Management, Business Process Management or any other relevant field;
- Knowledge of financial processes/documentation and/or business process management and analysis;
- Good understanding of financial systems/software and/or corporate process repositories;
- Knowledge of creating standardised templates and formats for process documentation and presentations.
- Experience in finance and/or accounting and/or business process management or other related fields;
- Experience and familiarity with financial systems and/or business process management solutions and/or process management and/or in creating and maintaining process documentation;
- Experience in testing and/or drafting documentation and/or development of training material.
- Have very good knowledge of English, which is Europol’s main language of internal communication, and a satisfactory knowledge (corresponding at least to B1 level of the Common European framework of reference for the level of languages) of another language of the European Union;
- Very good time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines/under pressure;
- Proficient user of IT applications in general and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the internet;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team as well as independently;
- Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.
