In this project, you will explore various types of aircraft noise sources (propeller, engine, airframe) and their prediction using acoustic models with different levels of complexity. Such results are to be included in a tool that will allow calculating the full aircraft acoustic signature on ground for variable flight conditions considering the physics of atmospheric propagation.

You will be assigned to calculating the noise generated by an aircraft by different sources, and to compute to propagation to the ground, eventually comparing with experimental results. You will be also invited to improve the capabilities and computational performance of an existing prediction tool.
