The Human Resources Management Service (HRMS) within the Division for Management (DM) of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is offering internship opportunities across different teams. Our interns are valued members of HRMS, contributing to impactful projects within UNOV and UNODC while gaining insight into the broader work of the United Nations Secretariat. Responsibilities may include: • Administrative support to different teams within HRMS; • Creating content for internal communication to promote strategic priorities; • Conducting independent projects that might involve research, drafting proposals, and preparing speaking notes and presentations; • Preparing statistics and reports; • Supporting the preparation and delivery of workshops and meetings, including scheduling, material preparation, registration management, participant communication, and hosting webinars; • Assisting with planning, organizing, and running social media campaigns; • Performing other administrative tasks and providing general support to the assigned team, as needed. 

• As a finance summer intern, you will join a dynamic team and contribute to projects in controlling, financial analysis & planning, accounting, or other key finance functions.
• This year we are also looking for candidates with a background in law or related fields to support our legal team during the summer.

• Support data collection, cleaning, and preparation for analysis pipelines
• Assist in building and maintaining basic data pipelines and ETL workflows
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and generate reports/dashboards
• Help develop and test simple machine learning or statistical models under supervision
• Document data flows, processes, and findings
• Collaborate with senior data engineers and data scientists on ongoing projects
• Participate in data quality checks and validation tasks

• Research the industries in which our clients operate to support senior bankers’ marketing initiatives, including contributing content to pitch books
• Contribute to develop and maintain standard or bespoke financial models under guidance from senior bankers in your team
• Use a range of valuation techniques to support the advice provided to clients including discounted cash flows, trading comps analysis, transaction comps analysis, LBO-based and other valuation approaches
• Support the team in coordinating certain workstreams of the transaction process internally
• Develop your relationship skills through exposure to senior bankers.
