Under the supervision of the Chief of Environmental Review, Assessment and Advisory Section, the intern will:

• Provide general support to the preparation of the Fourth Environmental Performance Review (EPR) of the Republic of Moldova, the Regional EPR of Central Asia, and the EPR of Antigua and Barbuda, and related activities.
• Provide support to the Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Programme, as required, including for the preparation of the next session of the Joint Working Group on Environmental Statistics and Indicators, implementation of an EU-funded project, the development of the 8th pan-European environmental assessment, the launching of a national state of the environment report and implementation of relevant capacity-development activities (e.g., assisting in the organization of webinars, drafting and editing project documents, and training materials);
• Provide general assistance, as required (e.g. drafting and editing of documents, background research, and correspondence).

• Support the design team on general tasks, such as drawing product, color application, graphic application and materials application to a given brief
• Data management and administrative tasks
• Create strong product stories and present mood boards
• Support the design team by providing visuals/images/drawings for product presentations
• Support the design team on a number of tasks ranging from day to day tasks to further visionary thinking
• Conduct trend research
• Bring a fresh point of view to the wider team.

• Contribute to the assessment of macroprudential and financial regulatory policies and/or financial stability arrangements, including through the use of impact assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of adopted or proposed reforms from a financial stability and financial integration perspective. This may include empirical analysis of the interaction/trade-offs between (i) regulation and bank and non-bank intermediation activities, (ii) financial integration and financial stability, and (iii) microprudential and macroprudential instruments. Other areas of interest include (i) private credit and non-bank market-makers; (ii) capital market development and integration; and (iii) the structural transformation of the financial system in response to the proliferation of stablecoins and crypto-assets, their linkages with the traditional financial system and broader technological developments;
• participate actively in the general work of the Division, including by (i) contributing to analyses for regular internal and external publications, such as the Financial Stability Review and the Macroprudential Bulletin; (ii) assisting – through data collection, research assistance and programming – with analytical projects on issues currently of interest to the Directorate General; and (iii) helping to prepare presentations and notes for management;
• maintain, update and further develop databases used for the analysis of macroprudential policy and the impact of regulatory measures on financial markets and the real economy;
• develop visualisation tools, programs and code for efficient data processing, while helping to ensure that users can access complex datasets;
• contribute to the coordination and preparation of high-level European and international meetings attended by ECB representatives.

• Gain basic insights from data using data cleaning and visualization techniques. 
• Formulate hypotheses through conversations with stakeholders. 
• Validate these hypotheses using data analysis and/or data science techniques. 
• Discuss and verify findings with stakeholders and translate insights into recommendations. 
• Present data-driven conclusions that can contribute to customer advisory and future strategy development.

• Assist the Performance insights managers deliver actionable insights by analyzing, preparing and presenting information in a visual way.
• Assist with monthly business reporting – including for COMEX (automated business intelligence tools – Tableau/ Power Bi)
• Help automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy if needed.
• Support with ad-hoc projects and requests.
