• Conducting in-depth legal research in administrative, human rights and public international law and other relevant areas of law, on both procedural and substantive issues, in support of the Presidency’s decisions on applications for judicial review;
  • Providing support in all aspects of the enforcement of sentences and international cooperation;
  • Assisting in drafting legal opinions on the interpretation of the Court's legal texts, ASP resolutions, international treaties, etc.;
  • Providing support in the preparation and servicing internal meetings and committees;
  • Assisting in the preparation of speeches, letters, background papers and reports for the President and the Presidency;
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.

 

The Digital Bureau Solution is the entity responsible for ICT operations within UNESCO, and reports to the Assistant Director General to Administration (ADG/ADM). The team oversees the implementation of UNESO’s digital strategy, with the delivery of (1) more integrated and properly codified project and knowledge management in support of programme delivery; (2) the provision of a resilient IT infrastructure, and best-in-class service management to enable effective programme delivery; and (3) the provision of strengthened cyber security and digital risk management.

DBS is seeking highly motivated individuals graduate/postgraduate students or recent graduates or postgraduates to assist DBS in its mission. Interns will be exposed to the work of the UNESCO and will provide DBS with qualified and specialized assistance in the various projects of the Bureau, under the supervision and direction of DBS’ management team.

Under the supervision of the End User Services Coordinator, the IT Service Assistant Intern will assist with the following tasks:

  • Assists with first line technology support , including courtroom and meetings support.
  • Assists with handling service requests and incidents and aim to resolve these at first point of contact.
  • Assists with installations, support and troubleshooting of various software packages used by ICC
  • Assist with the delivery new end user equipment and asset inventory.
  • Assist with the creation of documentation
  • Assist and support on IT related projects
  • Assists with data entry; inputting and updating information.
  • Other IT related tasks that allow you to learn other fields of expertise.

 

 

During the internship, the Intern will have the opportunity to learn and support the overall work of the Sector’s mission within the framework of the activities and projects of the different Divisions and will be called on to (not exhaustive):

  • Participate in the preparation and review of project documents.  Draft notes and prepare technical annexes. 
  • Contribute to the elaboration of briefing notes, progress reports and other relevant documents, through support in researching and collecting data for specific purposes.
  • Support in the contribution to the Sector’s communication and visibility exercises through the updating of the relevant webpage, when required, the design and dissemination of communication material to improve visibility and mobilization of resources.
  • Analyze and compile background data for potential partnerships and fundraising events and opportunities, as well as taking notes in stakeholders’ meetings.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support in the planning and organization of events/meetings, workshops, and conferences in coordination with other staff.
  • Support the preparation of specific budgets, financial and accounting documents, and project evaluation.
  • Contribute to related area of work activities and tasks as may be required by the supervisor.

 

The International Criminal Court has a project to migrate contents from repositories to modern SharePoint environments.  As project is ongoing, we are currently looking for an individual who can work in the Information Management Office (IMO). The IMO is a team within the Information Management Unit (IMU) of the Information Management Services Section (IMSS) that focuses on delivering timely and efficient Information Management services to support the Court's activities. Its objectives include managing Records and Document management applications and ensuring best practices. The IMO is responsible for maintaining and improving document management and governance processes and managing various strategic projects, including content migration and Information Management infrastructure.

Assist the Information Management Office (IMO) to:

  • Support in updating project documents such as project plan, issues list, risk register, etc.;
  • Assist in the coordination with relevant stakeholders where actions are required and help ensure that tasks are completed on time;
  • Test the new system
  • Organise and participate in project meetings;
  • Draft meeting minutes and project communications;
  • Support change management initiatives such as coordination of training to end users;
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
