As an intern, you will be assigned to at least one of the following Hub workstreams:

  • 1) Strategic Coordination and Planning,
  • 2) Digital Transformation and AI,
  • 3) Data and Analytics,
  • 4) Human Rights Risk Analysis and Early Warning. 

Our interns report to full-time professional staff and work as full members of our team. Interns will pursue projects designed to create lasting impact, while gaining valuable insights into the broader work of the UN System.   • Supporting our HR colleagues in the day-to-day administration and support of employees and managers throughout the entire life cycle from recruitment to departure
  • Issuing contracts, references and other HR documents
  • Participation in operational HR management tasks and special topics, including communication, exchange and coordination with international business partners and colleagues
  • Participation in HR projects and special tasks such as the digitalization of personnel files
  • Preparation of evaluations and presentations.
  • Monitor EU and foundation funding opportunities relevant to digital education and inclusion.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project proposals, including narrative and budget sections.
  • Support consortium coordination by liaising with partners and collecting required inputs.
  • Assist with partner mapping, stakeholder outreach, and proposal planning.
  • Help maintain internal databases and proposal trackers.
  • Support internal coordination with communication and project implementation teams.
  • Contribute to process improvement by using digital and AI tools to enhance proposal quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare departmental presentations to senior management, including proof reading and formatting
  • Compile and analyse risk data and maintain databases, as necessary
  • Enhance existing analytical tools used by the various risk stripes
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data in the analytical tools and systems by performing reconciliations with the data source
  • Coordinate regulatory deliverables and self-assessments
  • Review and take meeting minutes.

 

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is the Secretariat Department responsible for strengthening international human rights mechanisms; enhancing equality and countering discrimination; combating impunity and strengthening accountability and the rule of law; integrating human rights in development and in the economic sphere; widening the democratic space; and early warning and protection of human rights in situations of conflict, violence and insecurity.
