Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, the candidate would assist the VPRS (Victims Participation and Reparations Section) with the following tasks:
- Carry out research and assist in drafting significant documents such as reports, key messages, etc. This entails the analysis of the relevant local context of a given ICC Situation and the identification of groups of potential victims entitled to participate in proceedings and/or request reparations;
- Contribute and aid in the identification of victims and survivors entitled to participate in proceedings and/or request reparations;
- Assist in the identification of: (i) individuals and organisations that may be intermediaries of victims (such as civil society organisations, including human rights, community or religious organisations, local authorities, etc.); and (ii) international agencies with a field presence which may cooperate with the Registry in relation to victim participation and reparations;
- Assist in the identification of needs that VPRS intermediaries might have in terms of support and training and support in the preparation of such training and related activities to respond to these needs;
- Prepare summaries of relevant reports and documents;
- Attend meetings, lectures, etc, when requested and prepare minutes;
- Actively participate in the discussions of VPRS field strategies and plans;
- Participate in discussions and projects of the VPRS;
- Identify opportunities to enhance VPRS field duties, such as engaging with victims' communities;
- Conduct other tasks as needed, including occasional assignments for one of the different units of the Section as appropriate.
- Assist with drafting memoranda and letters to staff members related to contract management and payroll issues;
- Assist with preparation of reports for payroll and after payroll related activities;
- Distribute letters and medical insurance cards to staff;
- Assist with drafting of employment statement letters;
- Assist with Pension documents;
- Respond to standard emails queries;
- Focal point for emails related to the medical insurance;
- Create report to track the dependency review for 2020 and 2021 and update the respective HR focal point;
- Assist with filling and sending Personnel Actions.
- Assist the Victims and Witnesses Section (VWS) Teams in the planning, administration and monitoring of its trial related operations and programmes in HQ and field offices;
- Support the day-to-day operational case management conducted by the VWS Teams;
- Assist with open source research on situation countries and on topics of relevance to the VWS;
- Assist in drafting minutes, reports and planning documents, cross checking data and preparing presentations on assigned topics;
- Conduct general administration tasks in support of operations and carry out legal research and summarise filings when applicable;
- Any other task as entrusted by the Team Leader.
- NB: Due to confidentiality and security reasons, during the internship, the intern will not travel to the field to conduct operations. The internship will take place entirely in the HQ and aims at supporting the Teams in its tasks.
The Section consists of two units: the HR Organizational Development Unit and the HR Operations Unit. As part of the HR Operation Unit, you will be playing the important role in assisting the Talent Acquisition Team which supports the organization to equip it with highly skilled, committed and engaged workforce.
Under the supervision of a Talent Partner, you will be involved in:
- Support in preparing and publishing Vacancy Announcements (VAs);
- Disseminating Vacancy Announcement on the ICC social media channels as well as sharing with recruitment partners, such as the UN network, Embassies, etc.;
- Supporting the team with the recruitment selection process, namely in:
- Organizing invitations for various types of assessments, including interviews;
- Assisting with candidates’ eligibility review;
- Assisting with the administration of written assessments;
- Assisting with the drafting of interview assessment reports;
- Assisting with organizing the logistics prior to written assessments or interviews;
- Initiating medical and security clearance processes in collaboration with the relevant partner office;
- Supporting the management of VAs and candidates databases;
- Assisting in targeted sourcing activities;
- Assisting with the organization of the onboarding of selected candidates.
- Assisting in designing communication strategies to support Talent Acquisition activities;
- Participating in Talent Acquisition improvement projects; and,
- Conducting other tasks as needed.
- Media and news monitoring; analysis of information, as well as press research;
- Conduct open sources research on situation countries and on topics of relevance to the Victims & Witnesses Section;
- Assist with translation of documents
- Assist in drafting reports, preparing and giving presentations on assigned topics;
- Conduct general administration tasks;
- Any other task as entrusted by the Head of the Team.
- Due to confidentiality and security reasons, during the internship, the intern will not directly interact with victims/witnesses and will not travel to the field to conduct assessments. The internship will take place entirely in the HQ and aims at supporting the Analysis team in its tasks.
