Under the supervision of the Staff Counsellor/Medical Officer the intern will participate in the realisation of the following duties:

  • Update psychosocial information concerning wellbeing and health;
  • Conduct data searches on relevant topics; Especially the Secondary Trauma Survey project.
  • Handle data in Excel and in SPSS(statistics programme);
  • Assist Staff Counsellor in conducting awareness presentations and training on relevant topics;
  • Support with the inventory of medical supplies and restocking of travel medical kits.
  • Update and maintain electronic staff medical files after pre-employment medical examinations, vaccination inoculations etc
  • Under delegated authority assist with medical administration (filing and digitalising documents, preparing forms for signature etc.)
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the unit.

 

Under the supervision of the Judicial Cooperation Adviser, the incumbent will assist the Judicial Cooperation team to perform tasks in the area of judicial cooperation, including:

  • Assist in preparation meetings on judicial cooperation regarding the implementation of the Complementarity and Cooperation policy including the follow up of the related Forum of practionners;
  • Assist the processing and improving the templates of the incoming and outgoing requests for assistance (RFA) and related templates:
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with requirements of the requested State or relevant organisation and manage the update of the requirements fact sheets ;
  • Assist in updating of judicial assistance database to track compliance and enable timely follow-up;
  • Assist Unified teams with incoming requests for assistance when it comes to External Affairs Unit’s scope;
  • Take minutes and preparing summaries of relevant meetings about judicial cooperation;
  • Participate with team members in relevant internal meetings;
  • Assist in drafting of reports, papers, and other written documentation and information products;
  • Conduct other background / independent research on topics of relevance for general cooperation;
  • Perform any other duties as required.

 

The Secretariat (SASP) provides the Assembly and its Bureau and subsidiary bodies with administrative and technical assistance in the discharge of their functions under the Statute.  The Secretariat provides substantive servicing of the Assembly and its subsidiary bodies. The substantive servicing functions include, inter alia, providing legal and substantive secretariat services, such as the preparation of documentation, meeting reports and analytical summaries, and providing advice within the Secretariat on legal and substantive issues relating to the work of the Assembly.

Under the supervision of the Senior Legal Officer of the Secretariat of the Assembly of States Parties, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the team by conducting legal research and analysis, contributing to the preparation of legal advice, studies, and documentation.
  • Take notes during meetings and assist in the preparation of reports of meetings of the subsidiary bodies of the Assembly, i.e. summarize discussions, highlighting key points and various perspectives for further analysis.
  • Assist in drafting and editing correspondence, letters, and notes, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately included and clearly presented.
  • Provide support with various ad hoc tasks as requested, offering general assistance to the legal team as needed.

 

Under the supervision of the External Affairs Coordinator, the intern will provide support in the following areas:

  • Assist in drafting, formatting, and proofreading concept notes, project proposals, donor agreements, and institutional reports;
  • Support the preparation of written communications for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Conduct research on donor policies and priorities;
  • Assist in analysing funding trends;
  • Help track and evaluate resource mobilisation activities to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of events aimed at raising the profile of the TFV.
  • Provide support with queries and requests from visitors at the information desk of the public area.
  • Assist on the organisation of general information visits to the ICC.
  • Welcome groups upon arrival by providing the first introductory presentation.
  • In case of special events, conferences or ceremonies, assist the Unit in the preparations and organization; assist in making logistical arrangements including booking conference rooms, requesting IT services, catering, transportation, parking, preparation and distribution of relevant information materials.
  • Support with administrative tasks such as informing Security of scheduled visits and names of visitors.
  • Welcome visitors in the public area of the Court and, in the occasion of ceremonies, escort them to their seat in accordance with the rules of protocol.
  • Maintain records of visits and events and maintain statistics to serve as indicators to measure the impact of these activities.
  • Prepare and distribute ICC documentation, assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of stock available and anticipate needs for printing.
  • Assist in the creation and compilation of content for the general information visits.
  • Assist with other duties as required.
