As a Purchasing Intern, you will join the dynamic Purchasing team within the Procurement department, playing a crucial role in the request to purchase order process. This internship offers a unique opportunity for those eager to gain hands-on experience in Procurement, utilizing tools like ServiceNow, Oracle, and Scout/Workday Sourcing. You will be responsible for responding to stakeholders via ServiceNow, executing Purchase Order changes in Oracle, and engaging in various ad hoc tasks alongside Purchasing Analysts. The role provides exposure to compliance activities, such as verifying purchases against vendor contracts, offering invaluable experience in procurement operations. This position is integral to ensuring smooth procurement processes and enhancing departmental efficiencies.

• Support the team on a wide range of process Initiatives activities in line with our Supply Chain strategy.
• Engagement with our key stakeholders to ensure timely follow up on all communications and requests.
• Support our digital transformation journey & apply operational excellence tools and techniques to continuously improve our processes and eliminate waste.
• Perform adequate checks on our processes and standards to drive improvements in our cost structure and flexibilities in supplies.
• Support the metrics, monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance to plan by gathering information from plant and inventory systems.
• Maintaining our procedures & guidelines– ensure our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are up to date and in compliance with our company standards.
• Support the team with other ad hoc duties as required.

• Support the overall talent recruitment process, primarily for interns, including preparing vacancy announcements, screening applications, supporting assessments, and performing related tasks.
• Identify opportunities to streamline recruitment and onboarding processes of the Internship Programme.
• Assist in the Internship Programme outreach efforts to further wider and diversify our pool of applicants.
• Review the external website and internal site content of the Internship Programme and support creation and drafting of revised, up-to-date content.
• Collaborate in the design of updated materials for interns onboarding.
• Engage in other assigned tasks within the HR team as needed.

In addition, upon completion of the internship, the intern will have been able to develop an enhanced onboarding process for UNFCCC Interns, including induction materials.

As a Privacy and Compliance Intern, you'll work closely with our experienced team to support the development and management of privacy guidelines.  

In this role, you will be involved in creating Marketing Privacy Guidelines by collaborating closely with team members to draft and refine policies that align with legal standards and industry best practices. You will also manage the Guidelines Repository, ensuring it remains well-organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible to stakeholders.

Additionally, you will analyze the privacy needs of various marketing initiatives and projects, assessing requirements to ensure that all activities are compliant and appropriately guided by privacy principles.

The Intern primarily supports the APAC Regional Team and APAC Nature Team in administrative-related matters, conduct extensive research and support regional capacity-building activities.   

Daily responsibilities may vary depending on the individual’s background as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to: 

• Programme Support: support programme tasks, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organizing documents to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Desk Research: Conduct research on financial markets and data analysis to inform strategic decision-making processes.
• Capacity Building Assistance: Assist in the implementation of capacity building initiatives, supporting training programmes and resource allocation to enhance team performance.
• Other Work Support: Support APAC Regional Team and APAC Nature Team members across different functions and tasks.
