In this framework, we are looking for candidates to join the Culture Sector as interns to work under the overall authority of the Assistant Director-General for Culture (ADG/CLT), and the general supervision of the Director/Chief of Entity, and the direct supervision of the Head of Unit/Programme Specialist to contribute to the work of the Unit/Entity, in particular to:

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Culture programmes and activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of documents, reports, work plans and communication content including briefings, talking points, speeches and online content for the Sector.
  • Assist in conducting research, compiling data and carrying out analysis, drafting and preparing materials pertaining to the implementation of the UNESCO Culture Conventions.
  • Participate and assist with upcoming meetings, training workshops, events, webinars and conferences organized by the Sector, taking notes and preparing minutes.
  • Assist in building and maintaining working relationships with other Sectors/Entities, donors/partners, relevant national and international organizations, etc.
  • Contribute to any additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Unit/Entity within the Culture Sector.

 

We are working in an exciting environment at the forefront of science and technology, which is why we are looking for equally excited, highly motivated and proactive students or graduates of Audiovisual Media or a comparable degree program to complement our team. Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Video editing for various lengths, formats and audiences.
  • Structuring interviews, preparing footage and creating compilations.
  • Assisting with video recordings on location and in the studio.
  • Organising archival footage.
  • Additional audiovisual tasks depending on the demand within the team.

 

The Division for Communications and Public Engagement reports directly to the Office of the Director-General. The team oversees the implementation of the Organization’s communication strategy and ensures the coordination and delivery of communications (external and internal) to meet the sectors’ and Field Office’s needs. This includes the drafting and editing of content for the Organization’s website, press relations and press review, social media channels, communications campaigns, public events, media partnerships and publications.

Interns will have the opportunity to assist in the various projects of the Division and help assure visibility is given to all the Organization’s activities across multiple platforms, digital and traditional.

The work entrusted falls into one or more of the following domains: Social media/Web/Press/Photo/Publishing and Branding/UNESCO Campuses/UNESCO Courier (magazine).

  • Familiarization with refinery/petchem processes and their process engineering settings and modes of operation as well as the process control systems.
  • Collaboration in the preparation of process evaluations and reporting.
  • Observation and analysis of new technology and process developments as well as preparation and presentation of summaries.
  • Screening the status of competitive technologies in case of OMV internal developments.
  • Collaboration, preparation, and documentation of regular meetings as well as process database maintenance.
  • Activities and tests in the laboratory and pilot plant on special plants and processes, analysis activities and analysis evaluations.
