• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts

The main purpose of the internship is to support the work of the Radiation Safety and Monitoring Section while gaining practical work experience in the field of outreach and communication, and web-based training. The internship provides opportunities to gain skills in the creation, management and promotion of the content to publicise the Radiation Safety and Monitoring Section activities. The candidate will contribute to the development and promotion of communication activities in radiation protection area.

Functions:

• Assist in drafting social media posts, newsletters and news stories on radiation protection for the general public and specific technical audiences.
• Support the development of education and training activities and products (for example webinars and e-learning courses) in radiation protection, and the corresponding outreach materials. 
• Assist in updating IAEA websites and information hubs.
• Assist in collecting statistics and analysing data to understand the impact of outreach activities in Member States. 
• Assist in other, ad hoc activities as required by the Section. 

Protection of People and Property:

• Conduct strategic monitoring of risks related to social movements, crime, and terrorism across the Europe–Middle East region
• Participate in security audits and analyze the resulting data
• Contribute to network coordination and the updating of awareness materials
• Conduct research on technological developments in the field of security
• Provide support to the Security Coordinator on ad hoc missions.

Health and Safety at Work:

• Monitor regulatory news and legislation related to fire safety and occupational health
• Schedule fire safety/first aid training and drills across all retail stores in the network
• Ensure follow-up and coordination of training projects.

Maintenance:

• Track and record costs associated with maintenance interventions
• Assist in preparing budgets for maintenance projects
• Collaborate with operational teams to manage maintenance tickets.
