Intel, Middleware Software Engineering Intern

• Develop and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) systems that support large-scale software development and testing.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of threading runtime software.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve software issues across Linux and Windows environments.
• Create automation and tooling using scripting languages to improve development efficiency.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to improve software quality, reliability, and performance.
• Analyze application and runtime performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
• Work with modern development technologies including GitHub Actions, containers, and AI-assisted development tools.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficient in C/C++ programming with strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Familiar with software development on both Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Comfortable using Git and GitHub-based development workflows.
• Experienced with at least one scripting language, such as Python or Bash.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building, maintaining, or supporting Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and automated software testing frameworks.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of parallel programming concepts and performance analysis techniques.
• Experience analyzing and optimizing performance of multi-threaded applications or runtimes.
• Familiarity with CPU and GPU architecture concepts.
• Understanding of system software components, including operating systems, libraries, compilers, and runtime environments.
• Exposure to AI agents, developer productivity tools, or AI-assisted software development workflows.
