  • Writing both short, quick-turn-around and long, in-depth interviews and features for, daily program newsletters, program reports, and external media partners’ publications;
  • Researching Salzburg Global Fellows after they have participated in a Salzburg Global program and tracking their work;
  • Conducting in-person (during programs) and Skype (post-program) interviews with Fellows and donors;
  • Working with local freelancers to produce video content for Salzburg Global’s YouTube and channel and website;
  • Producing content for Salzburg Global’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube);
  • Pitching feature articles to external media partners; 
  • Drafting press releases; 
  • Maintaining the publications library and assisting with worldwide mailing distribution;
  • Assisting the Fellowship office with network engagement and administration.
Requisiti principali:
  • Enthusiasm for the mission of Salzburg Global Seminar;
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or significant work experience outside of their degree studies, e.g. with a college newspaper; preference is given to candidates who have completed postgraduate studies in journalism coupled with undergraduate studies in a field relating to Salzburg Global Seminar’s programs;
  • Experience of working in the media, particularly in online and/or features writing;
  • Native or equivalent proficiency in written and spoken English; excellent written communication skills and attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of international affairs and/or other topics covered by Salzburg Global Seminar’s programs during the internship;
  • Excellent IT skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills are required; experience with Google Drive, Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and Photoshop), and web CMS, and multimedia editing is also highly desirable.
