Financial support of Grants Management
The Finance and Grants Assistant will report to the Head of Finance and Administration. The Finance and Grants Assistant will work in close cooperation with the EPD Programmes & Grants Officers and well as the EPD Finance team.
- Support Finance and Grants staff by carrying out a thorough review of grantees’s financial reports to assess accuracy of presentation and compliance with the project’s guidelines and with EPD’s financial guidelines;
- Verifying project expenditure and supporting documents and liaising with partners on clarifications of documentation – drawing to the attention of the EPD Finance and Programmes relevant officers any issues arising from those reports;
- Liaising with grantees to obtain clarifications and missing documentation;
- Maintaining appropriate supporting documents to justify all costs in a centralised electronic filing system;
- Assisting the grantees and partner organisations in setting up their budgets and other project documents;
- Liaising with grantees and partner organisations to monitor their costs against their budgets;
- Occasionally supporting Programme staff in their monitoring of project expenditure and assist with reporting to donors.

- Participating as a member of EPD’s core team in the wider development of the organisation, sharing common tasks as required from time to time;
- Providing other kinds of administrative assistance as requested.
You will assist in collecting and consolidating data, the preparation of presentations and meetings with internal stakeholders, track action plans, and follow up on pilot RTM activities across countries. In this context, you will also support data analysis and simple tracking dashboards where needed.
Additionally, you will be involved in extracting and organizing reports from tools such as STAR or other internal systems. You will support data analysis on market coverage and the commercial execution of various RTM projects. You will also be responsible for preparing structured working materials for internal stakeholders.
Furthermore, you will support the Sales and Order to Cash Policy framework and update related documentation.
Lastly, you will assist in the distributor evaluation process and handle related reporting activities. If needed, you may also provide support to other ongoing commercial transformation projects within the broader RTM team. You will work closely with the RTM Manager and collaborate with other regional functions where applicable.
Among its missions, the NQRS department provides internal support to the whole Firm in terms of Business Relationships and Engagements acceptance through the definition and implementation of the required controls in terms of Anti-Money Laundering / Combatting Terrorist Financing (“AML/CTF”), conflicts and independence checks, etc. The NQRS department is engaged in an ambitious transformation program with the aim to increase the efficiency of its processes and improve the service level offered to its Clients (internal and external) while maintaining the appropriate level of risk control.
Your next challenge
- Actively participate in the NQRS transformation initiative, from the analysis of the as-is situation to the definition and implementation of target processes, tools and organization.
- Prepare project documentation, e.g., analyses, procedures and user guides, supporting material to be presented during meetings, meeting minutes, etc.
- Prepare and analyse Key Performance Indicators.
- Ensure a timely follow up of required actions after meetings are held.
- Participate in testing sessions of new tools and functionalities.
- Support the respective Business Controlling and work together with the business in the execution of the business strategy and the achievement of financial KPls
- Propose actions and solutions to improve overall profitability and specific KPIs
- Identify risk areas and opportunities
- Track KPls and offer in-depth analysis with proposed solutions for areas of improvement
- Implement measures for controlling process optimization
- Support the respective regional sales organization with meaningful financial analyses
- Work closely with the team in the Shared Service Center and delegate tasks to improve productivity
- Create, use and provide of data via Bl tools as well as support of automation and digitalization processes
- Determine root causes of performance variances.
