The internship will take place within the Child and Youth Rights Team and the intern will report to the Unit Coordinator/ Human Rights Officer.

  • Conduct substantive research on child and youth rights issues and draft different types of documents, including talking points and reports.
  • Support the development of key messages on child and youth rights issues related to the work of the Team.
  • Support the organization of events and other activities organized by the team, including assisting with notetaking.

Fund operational support:

  • Monitor Fund cash levels and cashflow forecasts,
  • Participate to annual and quarterly budget preparation and update our internal follow-up system,
  • Follow-up on cash movements,
  • Fiscal monitoring (tax and VAT) for our structures (Funds and SPVs),
  • Support the launch of new funds and investment SPV in Luxembourg.

Fund reporting and controlling:

  • Update and ensure the accuracy of data in the fund reporting system (eFront),
  • Control (through reperformance or key controls) the Fund NAV prepared by the external accountant/administrator,
  • Ensure quality of data and communicate fund KPI to other departments within the group (Finance, Investment team, Sales, compliance….),
  • Update the fund Depository/Custodian of all investments made by the fund and operations with investors,

Financial analysis and performance monitoring:

  • Analyse fund performance, cashflow projections and prepare ad-hoc investor reporting,

Contribute to the Philips next generation wireless footswitch for interventional X-ray systems by prototyping a reliable wireless link, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary engineering group.

  • Propose and prototype a wireless connection used in a medical environment for a battery-powered footswitch of an interventional X-ray system. This footswitch allows the physician to control the system from any position in the exam room. The improvement can include the selected wireless technology, the implementation of the selected technology (hardware and software), and/or redundancy.
  • Depending on the candidate and the type of internship, (stretched) targets may include full characterization of the link quality of the existing and proposed solution, co-existence with other systems and other EMI sources, improved logging capabilities for failures, and failure mode effect analysis.

The intern will support in the design, manufacturing and certification of VI test sets. The work will include the design and preparation of surrogate solutions, filling of units (e.g. vials, PFS, bags), imaging, spiking and verification of particle defects, creation of cosmetic defects (e.g. cracks, scratches), organizing and taking part in the certification of VI sets, as well as the corresponding documentation.
