This is a unique opportunity for a BSc/MSc student intern to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment at the intersection of pharmaceutical sciences, process modeling and data science. In this role, you will be part of the digital transformation, driving model-driven decision-making and optimizing the drug development process. This experience will allow you to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting, collaborate with experts from various fields, and contribute to innovative solutions in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Your responsibilities:
- Integrate the theoretical Capped Drucker-Prager model into a real-world industrial setting at Novartis.
- Adapt the model using FEM tools (e.g. Comsol Multiphysics) to simulate the physical phenomena occurring during the tablet compaction process, including the analysis of mechanical stresses and thermal effects.
- Calibrate the model parameters to match empirical data from the production environment.
- Evaluate if the model accurately reflects the behavior of the compaction machinery and the properties of the tablets.
- Prepare and present research findings in a final presentation and report.
Thanks to your academic background in law and interest in privacy-related matters, you will support the Compliance Legal Competence Center and the PMO for Global Legal Operations. Your tasks will include reviewing Data Processing Agreements, supporting Data Protection Impact Assessments, and assisting with the drafting of data protection clauses within service contracts.
You will also contribute to awareness initiatives related to data protection, help strengthen the internal privacy network, and assist in implementing elements of the AI governance framework. Additional responsibilities will include supporting legal operations projects, managing the Ferrero privacy email account, and contributing to coordination efforts for legal meetings, including the drafting of meeting minutes.
You will participate to the deployment of the Scope 3 climate strategy as part of the S&R “Circular Making” roadmap defined for 2030, under the responsibility of the Head of Climate. The main activities will be analyzing, updating, and improving procurement/supply chain data related to data gathering, calculation and simulation for carbon footprint calculation. Your key missions:
- You will support the "Carbon Value Chain" team in the analysis and improvement of the methodology for calculating the scope 3 carbon footprint (non-FLAG and FLAG).
- You will contribute to the integration and modeling of CO2 initiatives deployed at the group level.
- You will support the implementation and monitoring of subsidiary CO2 action plans to achieve the 2030 CO2 ambition.
- You will support other related projects: guidelines, external collaboration, legislation and standards, benchmarks, ...
- You will contribute to the annual Extra-Financial reporting exercise on the Climate part.
- Support to the Merchandising and Sales Coordinator in handling requests and orders
- Engage with the End to end (E2E) supply chain, demand planning, distribution, shipping and delivery
- Assist growth into Retail Excellence by supporting on daily operations of all Boutiques
- Support with updating and implementing policy & procedure guidelines
- Communicate to and follow up with retailers on CRM related topics
- Follow up with weekly reports by boutique, detailing CRM and KPI activity and progress
- Create and improve dashboards and reports to assist the sales team and boutique teams
- Assist with onboarding of boutique new hires including uniform coordination and timely access to all systems
- Support with creating and implementing new process to streamline communication and improve boutique non-stock articles ordering process

- Handling all day-to-day bookkeeping activities for our international clients
- Preparing the annual financial statements and periodic reports in Luxembourg Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Lux GAAP) but also International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP
- Coordinating indirect and direct tax returns and tax provisions services in collaboration with our international tax department
