• Support the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, digital, social media, etc.) to engage current readers, attract new audiences, and drive lead generation and client retention; 
  • Participate in developing and maintaining POLITICO’s audience database to enhance targeted marketing efforts; 
  • Support marketing lead generation and client retention strategies; 
  • Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies; 
  • Together with the marketing and sales teams, prepare compelling sales and product decks to support the growth of POLITICO’s client base.

 

As a trainee in media monitoring you will:

  • continuously monitor and analyse economic and other news from various media sources across Europe and share key items with ECB management and staff;
  • regularly prepare and present ECB-related and economic news in the daily meetings of the Directorate General;
  • analyse media coverage of the ECB’s media activities and write media coverage reports for the ECB’s management.

You will also take part in other tasks of the Internal Communications team, depending on the team’s current needs and your particular skill set. For example, you might:

  • write, edit and produce content, including intranet articles;
  • contribute to the regular collection and analysis of measurement data;
  • produce audiovisual material (e.g. vlogs, infographics, images, presentations);
  • help to design, prepare and deliver small and large-scale internal events, liaising with other ECB colleagues.

  • Coordination of logistics before, during and after the training programmes;
  • Facilitation and monitoring of face-to-face and online training sessions;
  • Support of the programme in its outreach and communication strategy;
  • Creation and improvement of online and other training material.
  • Analyze sales data, including revenue recognition, registrations & order takes.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Microsoft Excel and PowerBI to visualize sales performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Assist in data collection, cleansing, and preparation to ensure accuracy and reliability of analysis.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer specific business questions and support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in documenting processes, methodologies, and best practices for data analytics and reporting.

 

The Finance Unit’s mandate is to mobilize and accelerate investments to increase the ambition for climate mitigation action and climate resilient development through a just energy transition, thereby supporting countries’ shift to a low-carbon development pathway.  Under the direct supervision of the Head of Finance Unit, the intern will be responsible for the following tasks:  

  • Support the implementation of the various on­going Unit programmes, including the Mediterranean Investment Sustainable Energy Facility (MISEF), Seed Capital Assistance Facility (SCAF) and EmPower II (see www.unep.org/climatechange/finance).
  • Support the development of presentations for meetings with prospective partners and development of project proposals for various activities undertaken by the Finance Unit. The Intern will also support the development of analysis, briefings, minutes, and presentations for global, regional, and national workshops and seminars.
  • Research and analysis in preparation for publications with project partners (governments, academic institutions, and environmental organizations) to develop best practices and policy recommendations.
  • Support development of communication outreach material, including both print and online media.
  • When required, the Intern will also support the general organization of events, including sending of invitations to participants/speakers, developing agendas, and printing of materials.
