Liquid Chromatography is one of the fundamental techniques needed to analyze and also purify complex sample material. Our lab consists of experts in (U)HPLC, (HP)TLC, SFC, IC hyphenated to various detection options (UV/DAD, RI, ELSD, Conductivity, MS) to analyze samples from all business sectors, whether it is a biopharmaceutical product, a high-end display material or a crucial component for vaccine formulation.

This position mainly focuses on size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) of RNA and LNP formulations using multiple detectors. You will take part in the development and optimization of novel approaches for in-depth sample characterization. This includes: Optimization of SEC methods for mRNA characterization, testing deformulating SEC for LNP payload quantitation, testing SEC methods for the characterization of LNPs in complex media (e.g. serum).

  • Support the implementation of the resource mobilization strategy and fundraising action plan, including:
    • identifying and prioritizing potential sources of funding (governments, philanthropic foundations, and others);
    • gathering and updating donor contact details and profiles to support structured outreach;
    • supporting the planning and tracking of donor engagement efforts during the first year of implementation.
  • Research and draw assessments of donors’ interests, funding patterns, strategic priorities and make recommendations for engagement
  • Support the preparation and submission of funding proposals and related materials, including drafting concept notes, proposals, and cover messages in line with donor requirements and calls for proposals; 
  • Draft and edit written materials for donor engagement, such as:
    • briefing notes, background materials, and talking points for meetings with donors;
    • content suggestions for donor-focused communications materials, including infographics, key messages, web updates, and presentation slides.
  • Perform other work-related duties as required.
  • You work with the invoice receipt tool and will ensure that all invoices are processed correctly.
  • In addition, you support the team with classic accounting tasks such as checking and posting invoices, clarifying accounts as well as verifying payment runs.
  • As part of your work on global projects, you create analyses or prepare presentations.
  • Over the entire period of time, you are in regular contact with different units of the BASF Group and thus have the opportunity to gain comprehensive insights into BASF's processes.
  • Support in researching, finding ideas, developing, and implementing design drafts and concepts for vehicles
  • Create sketches and renderings in various 2D/3D display methods
  • Support in the creation of digital and physical design models
  • Participation in day-to-day operations
  • Support in interdisciplinary project work
  • Support the data collection and quality control of WMO XB project portfolio information;
  • Support in the development of informational material on WMO's XB portfolio to various stakeholders;
  • Support to activities related to WMO's reform of Project Management Systems;
  • Provide support to the data migration to WMO's new internal financial management tool;
  • Support project officers in the management and planning of project activities (work plans with delivery and expenditure targets) in accordance with the stated resources, outcomes and performance indicators summarized in the project documents;
  • Support in the organization of project meetings, and contribute to narrative and financial reports as required by WMO and donors;
  • Support the development of relevant project communication materials;
  • Support in the coordination and hiring process of consultants engaged in the projects, with support from relevant technical units;
  • Provide support to Head of PDMU with day-to-day tasks; and
  • Carry out other relevant duties as required.
