The International Criminal Court (ICC) investigates and, where warranted, tries individual charges with the gravest crimes of concerns to the international community: genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and crimes of aggression. The Court is participating in the global fight to end impunity, and through international criminal justice, the Court aims to hold those responsible accountable for their crimes and to help prevent the crimes from happening again. You can contribute to this cause by joining the ICC.
External Legal Teams represent defendants or victims before the Court. They are composed of one or more persons admitted to the List of Counsel and any persons assisting them (legal assistants, case managers, etc.). They perform their duties independently.
Under the supervision of counsel, selected candidates may perform one or more of the following tasks:
- Research and preparation of background reports.
- Drafting memoranda, reports, letters, briefing notes and other correspondence.
- Other tasks as may be required by counsel.
We are looking for candidates who have a strong interest in Information Technology in HR, continuous improvement mindset and who are comfortable working with different applications such as Office 365, Visio, Power BI, Canva, etc. This opportunity provides a learning experience in a multi-disciplinary team and the impact the technology has in human resources management that affect workforce planning activities and implementation of the organizational strategy as a whole. Tasks include:
- Contribute to process automation projects through assisting in developing new online HR reporting tools and dashboards as well as improvements in the SAP and SuccessFactors systems;
- Contribute to process mapping as part of automation projects;
- Design and develop materials for promoting the online tools and dashboards, participate in information sessions to users;
- Contribute to the job families project by supporting the team and the external consultant in administrative part of the project;
- Contribute to internal mobility framework development project.
- Research in support of different workforce planning projects.
Assist the Trust Fund for Victims with the following tasks, under the supervision and overall coordination of the Legal Adviser:
- Conduct legal research and analysis;
- Assist in the preparation of submissions before the Court;
- Assist in contract management issues;
- Assist and support in the organisation and conduct of various meetings;
- Assist in data management;
- Other tasks as needed.
Under the supervision of the Procurement Coordinator, assist the Procurement Unit with the following tasks:
- Conduct general vendor and market segments research and analysis;
- Conduct enquiries for cooperation with United Nations and other international organisations.
- Assist in administration, digitisation and record management of the purchase orders, contracts awards and claim management.
- Assist with the data entry and preliminary vendor and contract assessment for registration in the Vendor Information Management System and Contract Tracking software;
- Prepare summaries of important decisions in procurement planning and keep track in the planning tool;
- Attend meetings when requested and prepare minutes; the aim is to improve the processes for planning and solicitation.
- Conduct other tasks as needed, including occasional assignments for one of the other units of the Section as appropriate.
- Provide a final report assessment through a concise word document and excel sheet model that shall enable the Court procurement team to present the internship learning and deliveries.
The Division for Communications and Public Engagement reports directly to the Office of the Director-General. The team oversees the implementation of the Organization’s communication strategy and ensures the coordination and delivery of communications (external and internal) to meet the sectors’ and Field Office’s needs. This includes the drafting and editing of content for the Organization’s website, press relations and press review, social media channels, communications campaigns, public events, media partnerships and publications.
Interns will have the opportunity to assist in the various projects of the Division and help assure visibility is given to all the Organization’s activities across multiple platforms, digital and traditional.
