The activities of the Capacity-building subdivision for support include but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting the intergovernmental and negotiations on matters related to capacity-building
  2. Supporting the intersessional work of the PCCB
  3. Supporting our dedicated capacity-building initiatives, including the Durban Forum, the PCCBs annual focus area, the Capacity-building Hub, the PCCB Network, Youth4Capacity, the Capacitybuilding portal and the Joint Rio Conventions capacity-building programme
  4. Supporting the research work in compilation and mapping of capacity gaps and needs, including enhancing the coherence and coordination of capacity-building efforts related to climate change.

As this internship supports multiple projects, interns will support a selection of these activities, depending on the requirements of the team and the experience and interests of the selected candidates. This involves such tasks as:

  • Research on capacity gaps and needs and good practices
  • Research and drafting inputs for synthesis reports, technical papers and other knowledge products
  • Note-taking and summary report writing.
  • Drafting concept notes, newsletters, blog posts, surveys, and other relevant documents.
  • Developing and implementing visual outreach materials (e.g. brochures, flyers, videos, infographics)
  • Maintaining and updating content for digital communication channels (e.g. webpages, social media)
  • Virtual and hybrid event organisation and logistics.
  • Exploring tools (including AI) for enhancing knowledge and information management and assisting with website design and usability improvements.
  • Other tasks as needed to support the various activities of the capacity-building subdivision.

 

Depending on your educational background and field of interest, you could be:

  • Developing and automating processes to enhance data management, analysis, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Assessing existing tools and technologies, exploring improvements to enhance scalability, performance, and system architecture.
  • Reviewing software specifications, designing and executing tests to ensure product functionality, usability, and security.
  • Contributing to data analytics and visualization development, supporting solution validation, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Leveraging modern platforms to propose innovative solutions, creating prototypes to demonstrate process improvements.
  • Supporting digital transformation initiatives through the implementation of new technologies, providing training, and ensuring stakeholder engagement.

The Team manages the relations between the Association and the companies and organisations that form its membership. It organises meetings, fulfils administrative and governance responsibilities, promotes services among existing members and strives to build lasting relationships of cooperation and support. We engage members to help them achieve their goals through their work with Hydrogen Europe.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Supporting the work of the Membership Team;
  • Assisting the members of Hydrogen Europe with their inquiries in emails and calls;
  • Administrative tasks related to online meetings;
  • Data management and reporting related to online meetings;
  • Assistance with the organisation of webinars, hybrid and in-person meetings;
  • Supporting the communication required for membership;
  • Ad hoc support for the team and the wider organisation.
  • You organize various career events: from exciting in-house formats to online events and career fairs, you are jointly responsible for the planning, implementation and follow-up
  • Working closely with our target groups, you will be involved in onboarding days, target group workshops and strategic projects, such as the university marketing concept
  • Always at the cutting edge, you will explore current employer branding trends and contribute your own creative ideas to the development of new and existing initiatives
